First Foal of 2012

Speightstown Belle, the mare that won our very first race for Coteau Grove Farms, had our first foal for the 2012 year. Her colt was born on Saturday, February 4 and has the most unusual marking on his forehead. We've submitted the name, Strong Currency, to the Jockey Club. We'll let you know if it's been accepted.

This is Speightstown Belle's first foal and she is a great mother. She acts like she's done this before! The colt is by Exchange Rate.
