Strange Design sports a regal pedigree and tremendous good looks. She herself was a $375,000 Saratoga yearling purchase by top bloodstock agent Mike Ryan. She comes from a deep Lane’s End Farm family – her granddam Runup the Colors was a G1 winner. This is also the immediate family of such top runners as Revolutionary (G2), Flagbird (champion in Europe), Little Belle (G1), Dickinson (G1), Mineshaft (G1), Tomisue’s Delight (G1), Monashee Mountain (G2), etc. 

Strange Design’s first foal is a beautiful yearling filly by Kantharos that we will be offered at the sales later in 2021. She is currently in-foal to the top Louisiana sire Custom for Carlos. 

Caravaggio is one of the most exciting young sire prospects in the country. Caravaggio was one of the elite sprinters in Europe during his racing career. He recently relocated from Ireland, where he was very well received in his first 2 season at stud. He is by Scat Daddy (sire of Justify) out of a Holy Bull mare, so his bloodlines translate well to American racing as well. The mating of Caravaggio and Strange Design emulates the same cross that produced Triple Crown winner Justify.
