Whatacharacter is a homebred for Coteau Grove, the last foal from foundation mare Character Builder, making her a half-sister to the great Little Ms Protocol. Her sire Giant’s Causeway is one of the top sires of the past 20 years and his daughters have made him a leading broodmare sire. He was the broodmare sire of 21 stakes winners in 2020, including Pegasus World Cup winner Mucho Gusto. 

Whatacharacter is currently carrying her first foal by the popular first year sire Catalina Cruiser (by Union Rags). The foal will be bred on the same cross as G1 winners Free Drop Billy and Paradise Woods. 

Complexity is one of the hottest first year sire prospects in 2021. By the red-hot Maclean’s Music, Complexity was a G1 winner at 2 and narrowly defeated in the G1 Forego at 4. He is a great-looking horse whose speed and precocity blend well with Whatacharater’s classic bloodlines.
